I’m really excited about the photo editing features in PSE 10! This video clip from Adobe is a great way to show you some of the neat things you can do with Photoshop Elements 10.
If you want to try it out for yourself, you can download a free 30 day trial from the Adobe website. I really recommend downloading the trial version because then you can see how easy it is to use.
Here’s a SOOC (straight out of the camera) photo of a special gift that my hubby gave our daughter for her birthday.
I love that when I crop a photo in PSE 10, that there is a guide that helps me follow the rule of thirds for great composition. So happy about this feature!
I mentioned the new smart brush tool in yesterday’s post and it’s a great tool for digital scrapbookers. It’s especially awesome with photos though!
There are also several new filter effects. I love the lighting effect on this photo.
I really like the full, quick, and guided edits that are available to adjust in numerous ways.
All my purchased actions and styles work just great in 10. I had no problem installing them using the same methods I used for versions 8 & 9. Here’s my photo with Pioneer Woman’s Seventies action.
I guess the thing that makes me the most happy about version 10 is that it’s easier to do more in it. This is a powerful program that is aimed at the “hobbyist” but could work just as well for many professionals. I certainly am having fun with it!
