I’m always inspired by photography and color, so when you put the two together it’s a clear winner for me! The idea behind Design Seeds is simple – each entry has a photo with colors pulled from that picture to create a design palette. I find a lot of inspiration from these images.
Here are some of my favorite color palettes featured on Design Seeds.
I love just about anything with teal, but this combination with mustard yellow is gorgeous!
I normally wouldn’t have picked out this color scheme as a favorite, but it’s beautiful when paired with this photo.
I’m really into blues lately.
This is a very soothing color palette to me.
I love dark, rich colors like this beautiful royal purple with the unusual blue tone.
I’m really not big on pastels in general, but these are pretty. I do like purples and blues. I’ve just never been a pink kind of girl. I have a hard time wearing pink (it washes me out) and I just am not really a pink girly-girl type.

I never used to appreciate the color orange until a few years ago. Now I have 3 big orange chairs in my basement and I love them! This shade of orange-red is just perfect with these blues and neutrals.
Red – it makes me happy! I wish I could use it in my house but it really is not comfortable for my husband. Isn’t it interesting how color affects people?
This is one of my very favorite color combos right now. I love red + aqua! I think it’s super fun with yellow.
If you are looking for some colorful inspiration, be sure to stop by Design Seeds for some great eye candy. I think it would be very interesting to scrap about your favorite color palettes and how you feel about colors.
Hope you enjoyed today’s tour stop!
About the 2011 Summer Tour: I’ve handpicked 10 of my favorite sites for this tour. None of the sites even know they will be featured on the tour until the day of their “stop”. This is just a fun way for me to share some great online destinations for you to travel to. If you missed last year’s tour, you can find it here. The 2011 tour graphics were made with Kate Hadfield’s digital doodles, Kaye Winiecki’s paper, and Heather Hess’ font The Architect. Affiliate links used when possible, but I never link it unless I LOVE it!
