You might have seen this layout on The Daily Digi last month in the Digi Scrapping the Beach post. It inspired me to get busy on scrapping some of the beautiful places I have been to in my life. I’ve been meaning to put together a vacation album for years, now I’m finally going to do it!
I created an opposing page to my layout and now I have a 2 page spread for my album.
I got my journaling from the Depoe Bay Chamber of Commerce website. I will add more personal journaling on the pages I do about our family on vacation there.
My plan for this album is that each destination will have a 2 page spread showcasing the photos and general descriptions of the place. Any other pages relating to that location will be about our experiences there.
.
Supplies used for these layouts:
- Kitty Designs Templates
- Cinnamon Designs Cardstock
- Jofia Devoe Candy Beach kit (NLA)
- Myriad Pro font
.
If you plan to visit Depoe Bay, Oregon:
- Visit the Boiler Bay scenic viewpoint
- Go to the Devil’s Punchbowl
- See the Yaquina Lighthouse
- Go to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. Best aquarium I’ve ever been to!
- Visit one of the many beautiful beaches nearby
One of my blog readers left me a comment when she saw my layout of Depoe Bay.
I am a regular reader of your blog and love the great content you come up with. Today I had an especially nice surprise when I was looking over your July layouts and saw one of Depoe Bay. I would have known where that photo was taken, even without the title because I have spent at least a week every summer on the Oregon Coast every year of my life. It was a family tradition to go to Depoe Bay every summer during my years living at home, a tradition I carried on with my own children. We now spend time at Depoe Bay, Cannon Beach and Seaside, but my fondest memories are of Depoe Bay. Hope you had some of the best taffy on the Oregon Coast from Ainslee's and the best halibut fish and chips on the Oregon Coast at Spouting Horn!
Thanks Karen!
I don’t know if I will ever get back to the Depoe Bay area or not, but I’d love to go again someday.Really beautiful! If anyone else has great tips for traveling to the Oregon Coast, feel free to leave me a comment. :)
