Welcome back to my summer blog tour. I think we should all get to travel the world more often, but that just isn’t practical for most of us. Thank goodness for the internet! I’m taking my blog “on tour” for the next few weeks so we can all enjoy a fun virtual vacation together. Hope you enjoy it!
DAY 6 – APARTMENT THERAPY
I’ve been following Apartment Therapy for a few years now and I love finding ideas and inspiration there.
Tote Bag Wall - How cool is this? Can you imagine having all of these fun tote bags hanging on a wall, just ready for you to pick one on the way out the door?
.
Make your own color field paintings. Very modern and fun!
.
I never knew there were such things as Treehouse Hotels until I read this post. I like finding cool stuff that I wouldn’t find in other places.
.
Skylights in Small Spaces - I really want a skylight somewhere in my house. I love natural light.
.
Art Grids – love the impact of multiple items all in a row! what a clever (and inexpensive) idea to use flash cards.
.
And guess who had a room on Apartment Therapy?
I was beyond thrilled to see my own craft studio (and homeschool room) featured on Apartment Therapy last year! You can see more images of my studio in this flickr set.
.
I love being able to implement my Apartment Therapy finds into my own home.
.
Decorate like a Globe Trotter – I’m calling this a souvenir because I’m going to use this idea. Actually, I already do use a lot of globes (and maps) in my decorating, but I thought I was running out of room for more. After seeing this post, I’ve decided that more globes would be great!
.
Postcard Art – This is another one of those things that I already do. My son’s bedroom wall is covered with postcards. He loves it. So does everyone who comes to visit. We even have several friends who mail us postcards when they travel to contribute his postcard wall.
.
Be inspired by Clean Countertops. Wipe down and de-clutter all your counters to make your living space more beautiful. I’m working on this one right now!
.
If you like Apartment Therapy, you might enjoy the other related blogs as well.
- the kitchn – inspiring cooks. nourishing homes
- ohdeedoh – home.design.children
- unplggd – smarter homes. fewer wires
- re-nest – abundant design for green homes
.
I decided to add this book to my next amazon order (I’m waiting until I have another book to add to it so I get free shipping). I love books about decorating and organizing so this looked like a fun one to get. Amazon has the best price on this book. You can see more detailed previews here.
.
Hope you enjoyed today’s tour. Keep your “passport” ready and join me tomorrow for another fun virtual visit!
P.S. If you are looking for the cute graphics I’ve used for these posts, they are all hand-drawn by Kate Hadfield and are available for purchase here. One of the kits I used has been retired, but she has a similar pack for sale here.
