Only a few days left for my summer blog tour. I think we should all get to travel the world more often, but that just isn’t practical for most of us. Thank goodness for the internet! My blog has “on tour” for the last few weeks while we’ve all enjoyed a virtual “vacation” to many fun places on the web together. Hope you have been enjoying it!
DAY 16 – EAT THIS NOT THAT
My Mom is the one who first told me about the Eat This Not That idea. There are books and a website that all share the premise that our world is getting fatter because there are so many bad food choices out there. The act of simply switching to better substitutes helps you naturally lose weight without dieting. The science behind this is sound, and it is also a fun way to look at food. My kids LOVE the books and we often look through them together. It has been a real eye-opener for all of us to learn the truth behind many so-called health foods. I like that there are plenty of ideas for nutritious and easy ways to fill our plates with better foods. (all images lead to related article)

The chocolate milk diet – yum! My husband is a marathon runner and he started drinking chocolate milk after we read these books. It has really helped him with his energy levels and nutrition!

Lots of fun souvenirs from this stop!
Grab the app for your smart phone! It’s a fun little game to test your nutritional skills.

We have almost all the books I actually thought we had them all, but after looking them up, I can see that we are missing one. It will be added to my next amazon order! My kids love these, and my son has read all of them cover to cover several times. He keeps us all on the eating right bandwagon with his knowledge.
You will be amazed at how bad some foods are!

Really helpful and very interesting!

A must have for households with kids!

This might be my favorite version, nice to have some ideas for cooking!

This is the one we don’t have. I will be ordering it.

Another great one!

I didn’t think we needed this one since we don’t drink a lot of calorie drinks, but my son really wanted it. It actually is very interesting. I especially enjoyed the part about all the flavored waters that are so popular right now.
.
I’m off to have some blueberries for breakfast!

Hope you enjoyed today’s tour. Keep your “passport” ready and join me tomorrow for another fun virtual visit!
P.S. If you are looking for the cute graphics I’ve used for these posts, they are all hand-drawn by Kate Hadfield and are available for purchase here. One of the kits I used has been retired, but she has a similar pack for sale here.
