Today my family and I are flying home to Utah after a week-long vacation in Scottsdale, Arizona. Sigh. We have been enjoying the most perfect weather and some major rest and relaxation. I’m not sure I’ve ever had such a relaxing vacation before.
I’ve never spent an April fool’s day laying out by the pool before.
The orange blossoms on the trees smelled like some sort of delicious lotion.
The shopping centers and restaurants were very nice.
The sky was incredibly blue.
The flowers smelled yummy.
So did the cupcakes.
I barely spent any time on the computer. When I did log on, I tried to sit outside on our little patio. I mostly spent time with my family though. We watched movies, took naps, went on walks, and hung out at the pool. We didn’t think about work, or school, or much of anything. It was a wonderful break.
I’m trying to brace myself to get back to reality. Back to the cold weather of a Utah “spring” and the hectic daily schedule that we lead. I wish I could bottle up the sunshine and take it with me (along with a palm tree or two). I decided that I would just have to make do with a few pictures and some great memories. I think I will use this one as my laptop screen saver now. If you want to borrow some sunshine also, I linked it to the full size picture which you are welcome to download for your own personal use.
I’m truly grateful for the opportunity we had to take such a wonderful vacation.
