I'm not one of those people that puts up several trees at Christmas. I feel pretty good about putting one up at all. I have never gone overboard on holiday decorating. I really keep it minimal. I've scaled back even more over the past few years and I'm happy with that. My son and hubby are both happy with that.
My daughter would like to deck every hall though. I try to indulge her wishes a bit while teaching her that it doesn't have to be grandiose to be festive. Stuffed animals are a big deal for her so that is an easy way to let her have some holiday spirit. I usually buy her a new Christmas stuffed toy (or more) each year. She has quite the little collection. So I arranged some of them on her dresser one day as a surprise. She was delighted!
And I set up her holiday Build-a-Bear couple on her chair. (Don't you just love this chair?)
I think setting a stuffed animal by an object in a photo is a fun way to show it off.
I love this little lap quilt. My Sister-in-Law helped my daughter make it for us a few years ago. It is one of my favorite things to unpack each Christmas season. Simple and sweet. She loves the memory of making it, and how excited she was for us to open our special gift on Christmas. Those are the very best kinds of presents!

It's hard to believe it is already Christmas Eve Day. I'm really looking forward to some special time to celebrate over the next few days. I wish all of my blog readers a happy holiday as well, no matter how you celebrate it.
