Finally got my roundup done for June!
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
I had fun reading mysteries and rediscovered the joys of reading young adult fiction.
Been reading some heavier stuff also (which is why I needed the mystery breaks) and I've been learning so much.
My son started a new therapy program for his OCD based on this book. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is very common in people with autism. We are very excited about the learning we have been doing with this and so far it has been a real help to him (and us).
What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
I saw UP and Star Trek again because we took my parents to go see both of these movies. I enjoyed them just as much the second time around. I watched Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny with my kids, and some Disney Channel shows like Wizards of Waverly Place and Sonny with a Chance.
I also watched National Geographic Through the Lens about their photographers. It was really interesting.
What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
My parents came to visit for 6 days and we went to the aquarium and spent most of the week trying to dodge the rain. I went to a work dinner with my hubby. Also had two get-togethers with my hubby's family for birthday celebrations.
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
My hubby had a birthday (and I still haven't given him a gift!) We usually decide together what to do for birthdays and he hasn't been able to decide what he wants yet. My brother-in-law had a birthday and we gave him car washing supplies. My Dad also had a birthday and we sent him a box of goodies and a Barnes & Noble gift card (for Father's Day also). We gave my Father-in-law a book on Leonardo DaVinci for Father's Day and the kids and I cooked breakfast for Daddy on Father's Day and gave him a bunch of magazines. June is a month full of guy holidays in our family!
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
Lego minifigures (for me). I signed my daughter up for 2 weeks of cooking classes, money very well spent! We got a sleep number bed as a belated anniversary gift (our 18th anniversary was in March). It is very comfy!
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I had some health concerns but none of them were too serious. I did have to go on antibiotics to treat an infected cyst so that was no fun!
What were my accomplishments this month?
We finished up our school year with our virtual academy! I officially made it through my first year of homeschooling both of my children. I totally cleaned out my storage room and my garage (hubby helped with the garage) and I got our house back in order after slacking off quite a bit at the end of May because of finals and testing.
I had an article published in the Flourish newsletter from My Scrapbook Art and I started my official duties as a team member of The Daily Digi. I also posted a guest blog post on The Daily Digi blog about how to shop for digi supplies.
I blogged every single day in June (30 days = 30 posts) and I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I tweeted on twitter 237 times in June! Addicted you say? Yep. Remember when I didn't even want to join twitter? LOL!
What were my disappointments this month?
I've gotten stuck on my weight-loss progress. Need to figure out a way to get past that.
I think it is sad that Michael Jackson died.
Anything else noteworthy to include?
We had tons of rain and even some hail. I'm not sure I have ever seen such a rainy month before! It felt like we were living in Seattle.
In fact, we seem to have taken Seattle's rain!
I completed a lot of layouts in June!
Have you done your roundup yet? You don't have to include pictures and links like I have, just take a few minutes to look over the past month and jot down a few details. You will be so glad you did!
