I've had this idea for a scrapbook page for awhile but I didn't have any current pictures to go with what I wanted to say. So I just went back through my archives and picked some photos that went with my journaling. The photos are from a trip up Millcreek Canyon back in August of 2006. The journaling is something that has been on my mind as of late. For some reason it is easy to get hung up on thinking that every page needs pictures that are specific to that time.
We are so “plugged in” these days with all of our technology. We have desktop and laptop computers, Nintendo DS and Dsi handheld systems, a Wii, ipods, cell phones, Direct TV, TiVo, DVD and CD players, high speed internet routers, and more. We love how easy and fun all of these devices make our everyday life and certainly some of them are necessities for us at this point for business and school reasons. There is something valuable and important about connecting without a power cord though. We are surrounded by mountains, canyons, and many open spaces waiting to be explored. We have experienced many wonderful outdoor places, but I want to remember that we need to do more of this. There is so much to discover out there, and getting outside to do this will help us discover even more within ourselves.
This page is featured on The Daily Digi today as part of the MORE WITH FOUR challenge so be sure to take a detour and read that post. This was creatively challenging for me but also a lot of fun! We were assigned to use 4 products from The Digi Files 5. The products chosen: Amber Clegg papers, Stephanie2 word art doodles, Leora Sanford film frame, and Amy Hutchinson stitching. I also used a template from Ali Edwards (Designer Digitals) and modified it a bit.
