I've received a few invitations to join facebook (thank you!) and I actually did start to sign up for it when I got one of these invites back in 2007. Then I deactivated the account because I just wasn't sure about the whole thing. I'm still not sure.
Now I know I'm the one that is usually doing the "enabling" here on this blog, but I'm asking any readers who are facebook users to tell me why I need to be on facebook. I would really appreciate some insight on this as I'm just not really too sure what it is all about.Cathy Z. says that "facebook is the new smoking" so I gather that it's a bit addictive. LOL!
Also, do you have any concerns about privacy with facebook? I'm not sure I love the fact that you have to use your full name. I like to go by Katie the Scrapbook Lady online partly as a way to protect the privacy of my family. Is this a valid concern?
I like to think I'm pretty tech savvy, but I feel like I'm kind of "out of it" when it comes to facebook. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!
