September’s Roundup
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
I don’t think I read anything for pleasure in September. I did a lot of reading for homeschool lessons with my kids though.
What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
We continued on with our Disney movie marathon and watched 101 Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, Disneyworld Modern Marvels, George of the Jungle, Emperor’s New Groove, Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks
What special days did I celebrate and how?
My daughter turned 12 and we celebrated all day long. We went to Build-a-Bear, ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and also went shopping and out to dinner for Chinese food.
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
I gave my daughter some new toys and movies for her birthday.
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
Lots of pain still – I even made another trip to the Emergency Room. I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy to try and resolve my pain and digestive issues. The good news is that all tests came back normal. The bad news is that I never got any answers. Thankfully, I started to feel much better and I have had very little pain in the last few weeks.
What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
My Mom came to town for a visit and we had a lot of fun. We went to Thanksgiving Point, Gardner Village, the University of Utah Fine Arts Museum, and a few other shopping stops.
We flew to Florida on the 29th of September for a family Disneyworld vacation.
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month?
I went to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time – yummy!
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
My hubby spoiled me with a new itouch – so much fun! I also got to sign up for Cathy Zielske’s Design Your Life class at Big Picture Scrapbooking.
We paid for a lot of food and souvenirs in Disneyworld. We had paid for our vacation package in the early summer so that made it easier to enjoy the vacation.
What were this month's disappointments?
The health stuff was still a trick for me. At the end of the month Wall Street took a huge dive so I’m sure our 401k contributions took a beating.
What were my accomplishments this month?
I feel pretty good that I was able to still do some scrapbooking and designing with everything else I had going on in September.
