My roundup is done for the month of May and I even have daily pictures because of the photo 365 project I've been participating in. I almost lost my photo a day motivation this month but thankfully I am feeling re-dedicated to the idea now. I am determined to do this all year!
Here's what May was like for me:
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
Where Are You Now? By Mary Higgins Clark
The Host by Stephanie Meyer
What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
We had an Indiana Jones fest in May. We watched both Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade on DVD (we just skipped Temple of Doom because I really didn’t like it when it first came out). Then we saw The Crystal Skull in theaters. The Last Crusade is still my very favorite Indiana Jones movie but I did enjoy the new one as well.
Mother’s Day and my Mother-in-law’s birthday gave me reasons to give gifts to these two special ladies. I gave my Mom a gift certificate to Nitwit Collections for some cute digi stuff and I gave my MIL some art notebooks and toys for her doggie.
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I was actually healthy all month and so were my kids and hubby.
My Father-in-law was hospitalized for blood clots in his lungs and is still in the hospital.
Cooked pork in the crock pot with a can of rootbeer. Sounds strange right? It was actually pretty good but I hear coke is even better. Maybe we will have to try that. Anyway… I shredded the pork and used it in tacos topped with fresh cilantro grown in a pot on my own back patio. Go me!
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
Macro filters – love these!
New shoes and some new t-shirts
Tons of digi kits on National Scrapbook Day
What were this month's disappointments?
Had to buy a new tire for my brand new car.
The Utah Jazz were eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers.
I only did 3 scrapbook pages all month which is probably an all time low for me since I started digi scrapping in 2005. I just didn’t have it in me this month so I fell short of my goal of 15 pages per month. Oh well, it’s a new month now! I did good on my other goals though.
What were my accomplishments this month?
I got to be a “celebrity” for a day at Scrapbooker’s Clubhouse and share a sketch.
I helped my son get through all of his homeschool courses for the year (with the exception of Math which we should finish up in a few days).
I feel like I had a good blogging month. (May 2008 blog archives)
I also redesigned my blog header and side bars.
Anything else noteworthy to record?
My Dad got a job. He was only out of work for a few weeks after being part of a corporate downsizing cut in April. My parents took advantage of some of the “time off” and came to see us for a visit. We had a nice and relaxing visit.
