So cool to see the entire month of February illustrated by my own photos. I'm so happy about the photo-a-day project so far, it really has been fun!

So here's my roundup for February:
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
I read Ali Edward’s Life Artist book from cover to cover. Now I want to go back and do some of the projects in the book. I am continually inspired by Ali!
Other reading for the month of February: Family Fun Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens Magazine, and a book titled Homeschooling for the Middle Years.

What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
LOST! Hubby and I have so much fun watching it each weekend. We buy each episode on itunes and watch it on Friday or Saturday night because he usually has meetings on Thursday night anyway.
We tried the first episode of Heroes but we had a bit of a hard time getting into it. Maybe we will have to try the next episode and see what we think.
We are almost done with the 3rd season of 3rd Rock from the Sun. Such a funny show!
And I’m so excited that we finally bought the Planet Earth series. We have only watched 1 episode so far but it was amazing!

What special days did I celebrate and how?
It was my Sister-in-law’s birthday so we gave her some tulips and had dinner with hubby’s side of the family.
Valentine’s Day was spent at home with our kids and we had a delicious home-cooked meal.
:::
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I was pretty healthy all month and I was able to fight off a cold with my trusty airborne. My daughter got 2 colds and a kidney infection though. Rough month for her!

What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
February was sort of a boring month I guess, we didn’t do a lot. I felt like the weather was going to drive me crazy for most of the month but at least the sun has been out the last few days.
I did do some fun things with my kids while my daughter was off-track from school. I did a “test drive” of homeschooling my daughter along with my son (who I already homeschool) and we decided it was definitely a good idea. We went to see Hannah Montana’s concert movie, went out to lunch a few times and played lots of games. We even played with educational k’nex sets.
Hubby and I went out to dinner with some friends so that was fun.
:::
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month?
Pioneer Woman’s best chocolate sheet cake ever (and it was yummy!) and Marlboro Man’s favorite sandwich. The sandwich is so good that I made it two different times!
:::
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
I mellowed out on my spending in February after I went crazy in January. We did buy these chalkboards for our back entryway though. We are waiting for a few more pieces that we decided to add on so I don’t have any pictures to share yet.
I barely bought any digital scrapbook stuff in February. May have set a new record low for myself – just didn’t feel the inspiration I guess.
:::
What were this month's disappointments?
A little depression on my part (which I think was related to the weather) and my daughter’s illnesses. I just lost my creativity for a good part of the month but I feel like I have gotten through it now thank goodness!

What were my accomplishments this month?
I love doing roundups because it forces me to look back on the month and find things that I did actually accomplish. I usually surprise myself when I realize that I accomplished a lot more than I originally thought I did.
In February I reorganized most of our storage room, most of my studio closet, most of my husband’s office closet and files, and almost finished off our closet project (just a few paint touch ups left). I really need to focus on getting these projects all the way finished in March. Finishing is always a hard thing for me!
I did about half of the projects I set out to do in February so I will need to decide if I want to carry any of those over to my March list.
I threw a party for 17 daughters and their dads for a church group. That was a major undertaking but it turned out really great.
I did 5 digital scrapbook layouts and started about 5 others (again with the finishing thing!) I designed one paper pack and gave it away as a freebie in yesterday’s post – so be sure to get that if you have read this far!
I took a photo every day in February. I’m really proud of that accomplishment! I also created 10 mosaics on flickr which are really just as much work as doing a digital scrapbook layout.
My biggest accomplishment in February was sorting through all of my 2003 photos and uploading them to photo sites and backing them up to DVD. I scanned over 100 non-digital pictures to include in this project and now the entire year of 2003 is ready for archiving (and scrapping!) In March I plan to tackle 2004.
