I'm a week late, but I am still glad I took a few minutes to roundup September. This is such a valuable organizational and journaling tool for me!
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
I really can’t think of any! I know I thumbed through a couple of scrapbook magazines but I was so busy with homeschool, web design, and our basement project that I really had no extra energy to read in September!
What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
Alias (we are up to Season 4 now) and some Everybody Loves Raymond reruns.
What special days did I celebrate and how?
My daughter turned 11 and I took her and 6 other girls to Hollywood Connection for a birthday party.
Went to a Scout Court of Honor for my son where he received 7 merit badges.
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
Gave my daughter season 2 of The Muppet Show on DVD, a pretty jewelry box and a neat jewelry stand. She also got a High School Musical toothbrush LOL!
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I was pretty healthy all month right up until I was getting ready to board the plane coming home from New Mexico. Then I got a bad bout of the flu and we almost missed our flight!
My son got sick with a bad cough again. He had walking pneumonia in the spring and the cough never entirely went away but it got much worse so he went on antibiotics again.
What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
Went to New Mexico to see my family. We played Apples to Apples (a fun game), went for a walk by the Bosque and had some pretty major wasp trauma.
Went to a wedding with my hubby (someone from our old neighborhood) and also a leadership retreat event.
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month?
In New Mexico we ate Dion’s pizza (with green chiles, of course), my Mom’s homemade lasagna, and some green chile stew with ribs and chicken.
My son made us dinner 2 nights! Once he made Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, the other night he made us Wheat Thin Nachos. My daughter made us 2 cakes from cake mixes. So fun to have them cook for us!
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
So many that I can’t even keep track – the basement project has our wallet bleeding like crazy!
What were this month's disappointments?
My parents are going through some tough stuff right now. My Dad was a casualty of a company realignment and lost his job that was going to take them to El Paso, Texas. So they lost money they had put down on a house there and now they are looking for a new place to work and live. Sort of stressful to go through at age 60 and while they are getting ready to send their youngest son on an LDS mission for 2 years.
What were my accomplishments this month?
I created a brand new website, complete with a gallery! I designed a new collection and some cardstock, and revamped my entire Amazing Month of Memories series. And I scrapped 25 layouts and hosted 2 Wordy Wednesday challenges. Pretty busy month!
Anything else noteworthy to record?
I had fun getting into “photowalking” - I just love September weather!
Even if it's late, don't forget to do your roundup!
