See roundup post from yesterday.
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
Once again I mainly read homeschooling related things. I need to change that! I only read one book just for fun, but at least it was a good one!

What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
Would you believe I went to see Monster House again?! I still don't like the movie but my son was invited to a birthday party where they went to it. Because my son has autism, he needs some special assistance in larger group settings so I went with them. I know the family so it wasn't awkward that I went along and they appreciated the help with managing a large group of 12 year old boys! By the way, 12 year old boys love this movie!
You know I can't think of anything else that I even watched this month! I did watch about 1/2 of an episode of "House" which is one of my hubby's favorite shows. I got interested because it was about a boy with autism. I really can't watch medical shows though because they kind of freak me out. LOL!

What special days did I celebrate and how?
My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and it was my daughter's 10th birthday. We celebrated with my Mom who came to visit for a few days. We had my in-laws over for a family dinner party as well. My daughter got a lot of fun presents including a lot of art supplies and a new desk for our soon to be completed studio. She also got to pick out some new toys at Target (Little Pet Shop & A Magic Set) that she has had a ton of fun with!
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
none!
What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
My mom came to town and we shopped up a storm. We visited every scrapbook, craft, and quilt store around and we went to a few church activites together as well. We had a fun family night where we interviewed her. We ate at Cafe Rio, Shivers (best milkshakes ever!) and Hires.
We had an end of summer bbq party at my in-laws on Labor Day and the kids played on the waterslide and in the kiddie pools.
My son got glasses.
My daughter started school orchestra. She is learning to play the cello.
We went to a wedding, a boy scout court of honor, a leadership retreat, the pediatric dentist, a child psychiatrist appointment, a church social, a birthday party, a special needs activity, a pioneer trek meeting, and took 3 dinners to families dealing with illnesses/hard times. -Busy month!

What special or unusual purchases did I make?
Had our 2 new rooms painted and floors installed. They look great and they are almost done. We just need our lights and plugs put in.
We finally got our fence paid off that we had put in back in May. Nice to have that payment done!
What were this month’s disappointments?
I really can't think of much that counts as a disappointment. I have a very nice life. If there was anything I could hope to improve on it would be my own weight and spending more individual time with my hubby.
What were my accomplishments this month?
Feeling good about what I was able to accomplish this month and I am glad I make myself recap it here. I always feel a little low at the end of the month when I think of all the things I DID NOT get done so it is important for me to remember all the things I DID get accomplished.
Taught a paper bag scrapbooking class.
Blogged almost every day
Created 21 digital scrapbook layouts
